I'd like to see it in action on this board.  It might be what I'm looking for but the pictures don't really show what it does in action + the alerts.

It's like Likes but you can add more measures like Love, Funny or anything else you want, it also includes negative ratings, it's quite useful and fully customizable

Does it show who liked what on the topic?

and does it alert with the alert system for each time someone clicks on a button?

My whole board is down now after installing this mod with errors from load.php

You never must continue if errors appear on installation, that's why there's a big warning mate.
