I've been using Shoutbox for a while and am considering buying the Pro version. My users, however, are divided - some love it and want it, others hate it (and think it just takes up space) and don't want it. So I wanted to ask if it's possible for users to disable it in their profile preferences?
They can collapse it, that way that space is save it :)
Yeah, they seem to dislike that too... go figure :(
There isn't a hide feature mate, but I'd code that for you if you're willing to accept as a custom job. I don't think it would be that useful as a core feature because collapsing some has worked so far :)
Here's the thing: even if someone collapses it, users complained that it still appears on their mobile devices. You see I use the mobile curve mod, and obviously the collapsed option does not 'stick' there, and takes up tons of real estate... I'll suggest it to my users and see :) Thanks for the awesome support!
Have they tried to collapse there in their mobile? The mod uses cookies to handle it exactly for that, so they can collapse it on their mobile phone but keep it active on desktop :)
