Hello everyone!

Today we've the final release of the SMFPacks Alerts Pro 2.0, this new version come with so many changes, really a lot of them, customers can check the changelog and they are going to see how everything has changed, there are a total of 43 lines in the changelog (including only changes not additional information) and that can be seen as soon as you install the 2.0 version, here I'm going to name the new features found in this version.

INLINE NOTIFICATIONS:

This is the coolest feature ever! Now you are totally aware of new notifications in the forum, now there are inline notifications that are shown as soon as an alert is received, now you can be at the bottom of the page, and even there receive the notification and open it as desired, here's an screenshot of it in action:


From administration you can disable, and customize this new feature:


PERFORMANCE:

Great improvements had been done here, from enhanced queries, expanded use to cache, to two new features that are going to totally benefit your forum, this features are going to guarantee that your server won't be affected by this mod, these new features are:

- Smart Overload Prevention: Now if the user is not browsing your website (it's in another application, not the web browser or if the user is in another tab) alerts won't be loaded, what does that means? that alerts are only going to work when need it! This is a huge step forwards in terms of performance, and it's going to guarantee that your server won't even notice the effect of this mod in your website!

- Load Balancing Integration: Now you can disable alerts when there's an overload in your server, this can be customized in administration, here's an screenshot of it:


NEW MODS:

We've added integration with new mods, now this mod can alert your members for even more things in your website, since 2.0 the following mods are being supported:

- Post Ratings
- Tagging System for Topics
- Advanced Reputation System
- Ajax Profile Comments

In addition to this, integration with past mods has been enhanced, including new cache for Thank-o-matic and Likes.


NEW Notifications for Boards and Topics:

Since 1.1 we added a new system to alert about topics and boards, different for the one provided by SMF by default, this has been enhanced in this version, now users can select if the want to be alerted about new replies for topics where they post, this is an screenshot of it:


This can be enabled by default in alerts settings per user too!

NEW Design:

The alerts window has been re-designed, it looks way better than before, everything has been done using CSS, so you can customize it based on your needs too, now an icon shows what the alert is about, for example show the heart icon for Likes, here's the new design:


NEW Alerts from Admin:

Want to alert your members about something? Sure, there's no problem, you can easily do it from admin in this 2.0, you can include what ever you need, and don't worry if the alert is too long, because the system automatically cut it:


Fixed Bugs:

All known bugs were fixed in this release, to guarantee a good release we made various internal releases, since the first beta we had:

- 2.0 Beta 1
- 2.0 RC1
- 2.0 RC2
- 2.0 RC3
- 2.0 RC4
- 2.0 RC5
- 2.0 RC6

Our customers were able to test it, and reported all bugs found, and this new release works perfectly fine in Internet Explorer! This was a major bug from 1.1 and has been fixed in this new version.

I hope you all enjoy this new release, we made a lot of efforts to make it as good as possible, and we're really happy with the final release!

This really is a great little mod you have here and I highly recommend it to anyone running an SMF forum.  It does encourage interaction and keeps you informed at the same time.  Awesome job!

Man, by far the most useful mod ever made for smf. Congrats...

Just uninstall the old version, and install this new one
