2. Are the themes compatible with SimplePortal? Do columns disapear automatically at small window sizes?

3. Are the themes compatible with Aeva Media?

4. Is the fixed header menu easy to customize?

1. What windows?

2. I haven't tried, but it should be compatible.

3. See 2

4. Totally, it's the same main menu.

1. See attachments. It´s when the "Hello Petter B" pops down one row.

2. Probably not then, if you haven´t added a function to collapse the side columns. Can you fix it?

3. I just found that you use Aeva Media on this forum (you didn´t know?;)). Not responsive, see attachment. Are you planning to make it compatible? Or is your gallery mod compatible?

4. Do you mean it´s the "Home  Help   Search  Profile  My Messages ..."-menu? I was thinking of putting that back into the theme as a forum menu and keep this one as a over all site menu. When I said customizable, I meant if it´s possible to make it slide out from the right instead of from the top.

New question:
5. Are you planning updates on the themes? I found some things you´ve forgotten to make responsive. Pictures that doesn´t scale, some pages that doesn´t fit on mobiles.

1. What's your resolution?

2. I'll have to check that one personally. It's a matter of how the manage the sidebars.

3. I did not remember that as I don't use it that much :P. About my mod I'll be offering updates making them responsive aswell (based on Factory and my other responsive themes).

4. You can do it yourself, but I won't be adding such a change as I think it's pretty specific for your needs.

5. What kind of errors? I'd like to hear about them :)

1. The first line break of the menu (covers bread crumbs) happens when the width of the browser window is 1200 px or less. Next break (also covers search box) seem to be at 990 px. Does this not happen to you? I tried in Safari and Firefox. I guess it´s dependent on how much stuff you have in the menu.

2. Thanks, I think that will be appreciated by the many people using SP. I´ve brought it up at http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=13016.0
I have the side column to the right so for me it would be OK if the side column just popped down at full width under the main content when the window size is narrow, like in a responsive grid. Maybe that´s easier to achive than to make the column disappear.

3. Sounds good, then I might migrate to your gallery mod using this responsive theme. But first I´d like to have a look at it in a demo ;).

4. Yes I can fix the look of the menu myself. You didn´t answer this:
Quote;Do you mean it´s the "Home Help Search Profile My Messages ..."-menu? I was thinking of putting that back into the theme as a forum menu and keep this one as a over all site menu.

5. Besides the menu-thing and gallery mentioned above:
A. Pictures wihtin img-tags don´t scale: see http://www.smfpacks.com/b1/releasing-four-themes-our-theme-club/1775/ Makes site wider than window.
B. Not responsive/too wide:
http://www.smfpacks.com/login2
http://www.smfpacks.com/register
http://www.smfpacks.com/search/advanced=1
C. When posting on small screens, the editor is too wide.
D. http://www.smfpacks.com/unread?action=unread;all;start=0 should say "No messages..." if everything is read, not "No unread topics found since your last visit. Click here to try all unread topics."
E. Maybe the icon key should not show if the icons don´t, see attachment.

No problem, my english is not that good either ;)
I will try to express myself better:

4. The fixed menu bar at the top of this page, is it A or B in the attached image? I need to have both.

Or was it no 1 you didn´t understand?

Have you had time to think about 1-3?

I'm thinking in different ways to fix those issues. The images ones is fairly easy to fix (already did it). About the other two issues I'll have to think about them as they need some adjusts, specially the first one as I'm thinking in the best way to do that as there are unlimited cases (menu buttons and resolutions) so it's not that easy to do.

For issue nr 1 I think the best would be if the menu pusched the page down instead of covering it, when the menu neeeds two rows.
But maybe thats not possible when it´s fixed.

Maybe doing the mobile approach would work better, I think that way the theme still looks nice :)

Quote from: Petter on December 07, 2013, 03:58:18 PM4. Is the fixed header menu easy to customize?

In all honesty, I think the "Header" for the responsive themes needs to have its own menu editor of some sort ( http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=3310 ). I have to make changes to menu links in subs.php to make the drop downs work better for the responsive themes, but when I do this, it also affects the buttons on my original themes which messes them up. Plus, with it having it's own menu editor for the header, forum owners have the option to use both menus ( or the option to remove the original menu_template), as the original poster is requesting. Would make it much simpler. If these were the only themes our forums used then, yeah, it'd be ideal; but we have to still have the option for members to use our original themes, too.

Also, the post buttons that appear when hovered. I'm getting mixed reviews from users testing. some love it, some are not fond of it. The only option I have is to make 2 copies of the theme, one with and one without ... UNLESS ... you could integrate an option so this is controlled by members in their "Look & Layout" options, and not just the overall theme option for all users :)

Very good idea :)
