Is there a topic with the list of supported languages (languages which are transliterated in the URL).

I tried with with Chinese, Japanese, Hindi, Tamil, but it does no transliteration at all.
My opinion would be instead of character mappings to have a php transliterator function (or as an option, or only for the languages no mappings exist) that would cope with all languages.

No, there isn't; however, we've a really big conversion of characters for multiple languages, if you found problem with some please let us know it

Any news on either supporting the languages like the one I mentioned above or creating a simple URL without infinite numbers in case of a strange character?

At the moment no changes had been done; however, I've no received any report about it, if you've an specific issue please report it in the proper section.
