Restrictions

Discussion started on Pre-Sale Questions

I'm interested in your social groups mod, but I didn't see where a user requesting the social group can add membergroups restrictions. Or better yet, only members of these membergroups can join this social group. That's what I need...

for example, on my site I have a "gay" membergroup. It would be nice to have an option where a user can request/make a social group that only those in the "gay" membergroup can join.

Even with multiple membergroups.

For example, I have "male", "female", and "gay" membergroups. What if a user was to create a lesbian social group. I would like for that user to only allows those to join that are in the "gay" and "female" membergroups.

All of these membergroups are secondary, not primary. Is it possible to allow this?

Thanks.

Currently isn't possible but it's an interesting idea and I'll add this plus enhanced threads in the next update.

Added to the Bug Tracker:

This has been already added in the v1.6 of the Social groups.

This is a version in development and it's completed in SMF 2.0 RC2. The only problem is that I have not finished the SMF 1.1.11 version.

I had completely forgotten about this mod. I remember being very interested in it. However I am unable to view a demo or screenshots(broken link/images) to remind me why I was so interested.

EDIT: I was looking at the links directory mod also, it has broken images too.

The screenshots are working like a charm but if you have issues with the Products page please see the screenshots on the Social Groups album:

And with the album of the SMF Links Directory:

The demo page of the Social Groups isn't available right now because I'm working on the SMF Social Groups v2.0 and I'm going to install it when it comes out, the v2.0 includes this suggest

I get "Sorry, but you are not allowed to access the gallery", on both links.

Also, I realized that the screenshots look fine in FireFox & IE, but are broken in Chrome.

No, you only need to buy the SMF Social Groups Mod the copyright removal is just an additional option that allows you to remove the copyright showned in the bottom of the script "Powered by SMF Social Groups v2.0" this is an optional packages and can be pretty useful for professional websites but you can only buy the mod it's totally ok. If you buy both in one payment you receive a disccount of 10 Dollars but if you buy both in different payments each one has a cost of 25 Dollars. So if you already paid 25 Dollars it's for the mod if you want the copyright removal option you must pay 25 Additional Dollars.

PD: There are no additional payments all the Updates, Patches, Hacks are totally free

Oki, I got confused. I bought the copyright removal, but not the mod. I'll buy the mod now.

Ok, I'm getting frustrated... :-[

It won't let me buy the mod, it keeps telling me "You must select a choice for all available options". The only other option to select is the copyright removal, which I already bought first at $25.

Ok, so I bought the mod and the copyright removal together for $40, because otherwise I couldn't purchase it. But now I'm out $25, because I already bought the copyright removal.

Xarcell I'm going to refund you the money of the products that you don't want to buy don't worry about it. Please tell me if you want both products or only the mod in both cases I can do the refund :)

If you want only the Mod I can refund you the 40 Dollars and process the Copyright Removal Payment as the Mod payment :)

I'd like the have the mod with copyright removal please.

If you want, add the alphabet that I mentioned to the custom mod you worked on and we can call it even ;)

Sorry for all the aggravation I've put you through with it.
