Hi,

I am looking at the SEO Pro Mod and have some questions.

1. Does it work with SMF 2.0.3?

2. How does this handle messages with the same title, does it load the correct thread?

3. Will it have the title in the URL?

4. Will it have the board name in the URL?

5. We have some private forums and only 3 public forums, now would the the sitemap include the private forums in the sitemap?

Happy Christmas.

1. Yes

2. I think you are talking about topics, anyway it loads each topic perfectly fine.

3, 4. You can configure it to include the name or not.

5. Private forums won't be shown there

This mod looks like it will support many of the functions we have been looking for. Have a few number of questions

1. We currently have Pretty URLs 1.0 installed.  As this mod have changed the URLs and these have been indexed by search engines like Google, how will an installation of SEO Pro change the URLs.  Will we first uninstall Pretty URLs and install SEO Pro. Assume this will generate a large number of 404 errors that needs to be handled

2. We also have Google Analytics Code 1.4 installed. Assume this mod is just uninstalled and I use SEO Pro instead?

3. Recently a robots.txt was created as we have to many duplicate title tags removing access for search bots to wap urls. Will SEO Pro have the the same structure for wap urls (removed the wap urls by adding Disallow: /*?* to the robots.txt file)

Thanks in advance

1. Nothing that cannot be fixed with 301 redirects.

2. I see no reasons why you should not do that.

3. Wap urls are not being indexed using better methods, but if you are worried about it you can mosify the robots.txt file for extra security.

Thanks for a fast answer. One clarifying question for point number 1.

For 301 redirects, with the URLs already in place, will the SEO Pro mod create automatic 301 directs as part of the installation or will this have to be done manually URL by URL. If I understood it correctly I need to uninstall Pretty URLs first so not sure how a 301 direct will work unless done manually.

Thanks in advance.

The 301 redirects should be done manually (not URL by URL) just format to format, so it would be one line for topics, boards and profiles.
