Hi, I have two questions.
1) Would it be possible to change the name "Social Groups" to something else on my forum? For example, if I wanted to call it "Sports Groups," could I do this?
2) I currently have Social Groups Lite. I can see Social Groups in my forum as an admin, but regular members cannot see the Social Groups tab. What's going on here?

1. You need to modify code.

2. You need to adjust  permissions.

Support for lite version is done at the SMF website, please refer your questions to that site, here I only support pro version due to time restrictions.

sounds great, thanks. is there any specific advice you can give on modifying this code? i'm a newbie so i will probably have to ask for some help from other people :/

It is quite simple actually, but if you are not familiar with it you are going to need assistance.

good to know- i will seek out some help. thanks for your help

No problem.

this is the advice i received. could you please confirm that this is what i should do?

"I would begin by looking in Subs.php (Sources floder) and index.english.php (Languages folder), both in the default theme files. Look for the words "social groups."'

^ i will be using this to modify the pro version, not the lite version, which i am going to buy right now.

it is not equal in Pro version. Ill let you know how to do it in a ticket when you get the pro one.

sounds great!
