Today we're really excited! As we're announcing our latest product for SMF! This is going to change the way people interact in communities. This is a brand new method, that allows people to find the really important things in your forum. It's the "Likes" feature (if you've facebook you already know something). That's right, we're bringing Likes to SMF, in a way that would enhance your forum as no other mods has done before.


This new product comes in two version: Lite and Pro. The PRO version is the full featured edition of that mod, including a lot of other features that would increase the good impact that this mod is going to cause in your forum.

This mod gives your users an instant "birds-eye-view" of the Likes distribution in a topic, allowing you to quickly find the most useful content, no matter how long the conversation is. It allows people to extract more value out of forums in less time. The best of all, is that the hurt to performance is almost 0! We've all info cached, so it won't be reloaded and content is only loaded if user request it; otherwise, it won't be even extracted from cache.

As you can see this is real integration with SMF, it's everywhere, but if any of those aren't good for you, you can easily disable them in admin panel, every aspect of this mod can be configured there.

Very nice.. I have seen many requests for a mod like this; however for me there must also be a dislike/undislike feature, if that's planned in the near future then I'm interested.

After you Like a post you can Unlike it, but dislike isn't available at the moment for one simple reason: It doesn't help to find useful content. That's the idea of this mod, with a Dislike post you only would create fights in your community instead of encourage people to create useful content and be Liked. I ain't saying that it couldn't be implemented later.

Not all communities are the same... for me the dislike feature would be useful even if it starts fights, we fight all the time anyway. Also it wouldn't hurt communities that don't want the dislike feature, they simply just don't have to use it if its made so that the dislike option has to specifically be enabled.

I understand your point, the thing is that you aren't getting mine. This mod helps you to find content easily, when a post is liked several times it must be useful/important. When a post gets a lot of Dislikes that post doesn't matter and should be skipped. That's what I'm trying to explain, the focus of this mod is to help your users to find things quickly.

I know some people would be requesting for Dislike Feature, and as I said I didn't rejected the idea, can be done and maybe it'd obviously a master switch would be included to disable it.

I did get your point actually I was responding to where you said it would encourage fights instead of encouraging useful content.

On a forum like mine if I install a mod that offers the ability to 'like' posts but no option to dislike... it will just encourage users to post their dislikes in the threads anyway (which is what they do now).

That last part is pretty good actually. Maybe some options like "Automatically delete a message after X dislikes" and "Hide from Search Results posts with more than X dislikes" would be useful?

...and if you will really add the "dislike" option, then you should also add the option "disable/enable" the "dislike" feature.

Yep, as I said there would be a master switch to disable that feature. As I know a lot of admins won't like it.
