Today we're releasing a new powerful mod that works perfectly alone, but it's going to be a great addition to a lot of other mods too! It's a highly requested feature available in other forum softwares and it's now available in SMF!! An Alerts / Notifications System! Here are the main features of it:

Stay Tunned!:

This mods allows you to be truly informed about everything in the community, for example: "Mike quoted your message", "Steve likes your message", "Michael added you as a buddy", "Peter created a new topic: SUBJECT" and a lot more! Alerts are also integrated with other mods allowing you to know about things that aren't even related with the core forum. This mod expands interaction between members as it allows to know things that you weren't able in the past. Every forum should have such a great and necessary feature!


Ajax Notifications:

Alerts are loaded without having to refresh pages, even a counter is added when unseen alerts are added and a quick list is shown when mouse goes over the alerts icon, as soon as alerts are seen the icon will be changed and the counter is removed, it just works!


Profile Notifications:

Each user can customize which alerts he/she wants to receive, in that way they won't be annoyed with unwanted alerts and they can be informed only about things that they really want!


Integration with Mods:

Integration with other mods is provided! Including: SMFPacks Likes Pro, SMF Social Groups Pro, SMF Links Directory, SMF Downloads Directory, Ultimate Profile, Aeva Media and Thank-o-matic. Integration with other mods can be requested too.


Performance:

This mod only does what it needs and it uses a lot of cache to minimize how it affects server performance, you can configure how many seconds it takes between reload of alerts.

BTW, how this mod checks for news? every X amount of seconds? (in this case, is that amount configurable?)

Can the autocheck be disabled at all, leaving only checks on page refresh?
(welll, maybe I can do that giving a big amount of time between checks? that affects the pagerefresh checks too?)

Yes you can do that, just set each 10000000 seconds and it's going to only be loaded at first page load

I keep trying to bring it up from the Products menu, but it always brings up a white screen.  even when I click on your link you just posted, just takes me to a blank page.    All of the other SMF Pack products load up fine.

You sure you gave regular members permission to the page?

Thank you, I just find out that I set the same action for the purchase page than the mod action page

Thanx, now I have access.  It's a great price for what it does, plus has copyright removal so that's an added bonus.  A couple pre-sale questions.

Where it says it alerts topics/boards subscribed to, is this some separate a MOD for subscriptions, or is that meaning when someone uses the "Notify" option in topics/boards?

Also, I'm not real fond of where the alerts is located.  We use a banner with no text for our forum title.  The alerts can be relocated, right?   I honestly think the best place for it to be would be next to the members name ip top in the header.  Is it possible for us to manually edit to have it placed in that area?

and, most importantly, is it member group based?  <-- just seen it was.  awesome

You only need to add

show_alerts();

where do you want to show it

Brilliant.  I'm gonna run it by my members first and make sure it is something they would be interested in using.  Though all your MODs I'm interested in they go crazy over, so this one shouldn't be any different
